I have a Blackmore strat that I bought in June and had it professionally set up. It is in perfect shape and I love the scalloped neck. I am selling it if OP is interested.

PM details, link to pics etc...not sure I can afford a sig though.

I got mine for $1199. I bought a Fender hardshell case for it and spent $130 on the set up as it was horrible out of the box. Now it plays like butter. These go used for $900 or so. If that is in your budget let me know and I can take some pics. My email is revolutionswitch@mac.com.

Honestly the thing I'd be most worried about is playing on the scalloped board....don't have the best ear and I'm pretty heavy handed :-/

I'm heavy handed and play with 3.0 picks. The scallops will make you more aware of your touch but I go between scalloped and regular necks seamlessly. The scallop neck just gives you a better grip. Bending is a joy on this neck. It's not an ideal strat for someone wanting an introductory strat to the stable. Cool guitar but I prefer the new elite series myself.

Good luck !

I have a USA Deluxe Vintage white (I believe) rosewood board, C neck, roller nut and HSS/S1. I can't stand the S1 and want some vintage style pups in SSS.

My other is "Blackie" and it has the mid boost(?) fixed bridge ( Clapton had a block of wood in his. It is removable for a floating trem) and a soft V neck that feels great. The only issue with that guitar is the pick guard gets static from strumming. I looked it up and others complained about the same thing. The fix is to rub a dryer sheet on it before playing  But great otherwise.

I go back and forth between my Les Pauls, Tele and Strats.

It is another tool/tone and different feel.

I had a new USA '07 std strat that I sold a year or two later. Didn't feel as good. Test drive a bunch is them.

Everybody needs at least one good Strat.

There is something about looking at a scene like that, with the Stratocaster leaned up against the amp, the cords hooked up, etc. that moves something inside me like seeing a hot girl in a bra and panties. :) You just get this feeling of joy. I'm sure guitarists are the only ones that can understand something like that.

When I walk into a guitar store and see all of the shapes, colors, options, etc., it is just a great feeling. :)

Yours reminds me of mine. I did not put the Yankees decal on it. I bought this used at Sam Ash for $600 - crazy good price for what I got. This guitar is just the one. I don't really say it's my number one but it plays better than my number one and it is the one I bond with the most. However, it's just not versatile enough because the pickups are hot as hell. It's sounds amazing playing rock or metal and I like doing that but recently, blues has been my thing. I am getting more and more into that. I don't really listen to blues artists... I just like making up my own blues.
