I have played some piece of crap vintage strats that they wanted $15000 for, and I have played some sweet Squire models that I would have no problem with being my main guitar.

How different are they all, outside of the obvious? (maple/rosewood fingerboard, HSS/SSS, colors, headstocks, etc). What are some of your favorite strat models?
Now that I think about it, I play my strat more than all of my other guitars, since its tuned to standard and all of my gigging guitars are 1/2 flat.

^This. It seems really good ones make almost any pickup sound good and bad ones suck no matter what you do.sutepaj":2c057lo5 said:I know this applies to a lot of guitars, but especially with Strats....you have to play the individual guitar. Yes that is the one. The SPC is really useful.jkdsteve":dm67461a said:stephen sawall":dm67461a said:I use the EMG David Gilmour DG20. With the EXG and SPC tone controls it is very versatile.
