Thinking of getting a Digitech GSP 1101. Good idea?

Can I not use my Behringer midi controller with the GSP?
I'm pretty sure you can. It has midi in and thru

I haven't used X-Edit, so my patches have been made straight on the GSP
you really should try it. It makes setting up your patches a thousand times easier. plus you can back them all up on your pc. Also, since I have mine setup to not run the cab sims out of the 1/4" (and I have pretty flat-response speakers) I was able to run the 1/4" out to my power-amp and cab and match the cab sim through the pc in real time

One thing that bugs me about the Controller2 is that if I hit the same patch twice it bypasses. It seems the only other option is the bounce back (?) mode where it will go back to the previous patch. I just want it to stay on the patch I'm pressing on no matter how many times I tap it. Many time I'm not 100% sure if I hit the right one and just hit it again to make sure.

i had the gsp1101 with control pedal....got tired of carrying a rack, so i got the rp1000. wanted some tube tone thrown in there, so i added a blackstar ht-5 with cabinet. bought an eleven rack because it was cheap, used it in a rack with powered speakers for the last couple years. just bought an axe-fx ultra, so i'm moving on to that.

i thought the rp1000 sounded more organic than the gsp1101.

i thought the eleven rack was much more real and 3d than either digitech unit.
