It's cool that a girl is ripping on the guitar, but yea I do think it's kind of a novelty thing, because honestly and people may call me a dick, musically and guitar wise I don't see anything special about her that blows me away. That being said I think it's great that a girl who is doing pop also can really play and is getting out there and putting it in music. If this was a guy I don't think they would get any attention at all though...

When I listen to Andy I am blown away by his technical prowess and really cool lines and sounds he creates, where as this it's just like meh, now if she could play like Andy, then I'd be impressed haha.

I reckon she is a good player and plays way better on the Highly Strung track than I've ever heard her before. But... I have to agree that if she was a guy there wouldn't be as much interest as she is good, not great. If she makes more girls pick up the guitar however then she deserves all the praise, glory and money coming to her!

To set the record the straight I am very very hesitant to delete anything around here and I am probably the most liberal on any of the gear forums. I did not delete anything in this thread and only would if someone just went "carl" on someone. Not sure if one of my mods got trigger happy for some reason but if they did I would ask them to pipe up in the thread. Once again I am all for open discussions here pro and con as long as it is honest and not hate filled.

Someone posted something under what seemed like an alt, and I questioned them as to why they seemingly didn't have the guts to be as... derogatory under their real moniker. It's all good man, I was just wondering because it would have been interesting to see how it panned out although maybe on second thoughts it would have just turned into a shit-slinging contest.

lol that guy just wont go away... he posted a very negative comment on one of my youtube videos and I've never even talked to him nor been on a forum with him that I know of before, he deleted it after someone called him out... I just don't understand being that way, it's much better to treat people with respect and kindness regardless if your opinions differ, than to treat them poorly, doesn't make you or your life any better to behave that way IMHO.
