I’m a little dumb…. I hear guys talking about the stealth, the iconic, the classic… which Evh is the one to get? I remember when the fender ones first came out one channel was amazing… but only one.

For the price, I’m impressed, especially internally. MASSIVE PT in this thing
Idk. Some people swear by the stealth. The iconic is sooo cheap and can really do metal well. Imo, the evh stealth is priced way too high for what it is

I have often told people that the prs mt100 is probably the best bang for buck amp out there..only competing with maybe the evh iconic.

After the first riff, it really sounded amazing

That amp sounds nothing like the clips I’ve heard at low volumes. That’s pretty impressive honestly. Although I know they voiced the lead channel to be a mix of Mesa and Marshall since that’s Marks MO. That huge low mid bark is a signature of mixing Mesa and Marshall together like Cameron was known for.

The iconic I played sounded thin in person compared to other amps out there. Not sure what they’re doing internally but it’s a good bang for the buck amp but certainly not the best.

The MT 100 has a rasp on the top end that sounded like it was always present even under the notes too which was one reason why I never really wanted one, my ears immediately go to it even saturated in natural reverb. I think there’s more Mesa than Marshall voicing in it. Still sounded good but that top end is something most people try to resolve in Marshall mods

If you dial the presence and eq backwards, I’ve noticed it actually cleans up… with reasonable gain, the gain was maybe 10 o’clock and even that’s super saturated but where comments here mentioned high end, it takes the sizzle out… that and it’s loud as balls….

Most people don’t know (for obvious reasons) feeding some volume to these things gets rid of 90% of peoples complaints.

Think a DSL is overly fizzy? Put it on 6. Call me after that. 🤣

I might actually want to grab one to mess with. That clip really sounded great especially if that top end can get cleaned up.

I like what you showed tone wise more than the driftwood atlas 180 which was another amp I was interested in.

Who knows, I might create some mods for the clean channel and tighten up the lead channel a bit. Either turn the clean channel into a plexi or super reverb. Bring in the overpowering low mids a bit which isn’t hard at all.

I’m not an amp modder… I dabble in repairs but from what I understand nobody really mods these.

If you want to hear anything in particular let me know. I’m going to setup a simple recording setup soon but work has me crazy this time of year especially.

I definitely want to hear this thing close micd. You can play very well. I wouldn't mind hearing creed ode just to see how well it matches his tone.

Why is the clean channel garbage? I’ve never heard anything positive about it tonally.

Shove a boost in the front end and dial the gain back? Just curious what it would sound like dialed in aggressive 👍

Not the clean, the “dumble” it just to me, doesn’t do anything good. It’s the overdrive Chanel.
