Thank you. I'm going to try and find some and try it out. My wife's family is scottish so i do eat some UK stuff. And i like it.
People say the british have bad food but i disagree. It's just as good, but different.

Well we are as UK as you are. Australia is a new world country that started the same way as yours and was started by the same people as well.

So I wanted to keep this culinary related.
Food stuff wise america is not the same. I've never seen vegemite in a store in my life. I'm looking forward to trying it.
I enjoy trying other foods that i haven't tried before.
 
So is butter the thing or can you go sweet like with jam?

It's just something you have with butter. Look at Japetus' photo for guidance.

You could have it with jam if you like eating soy sauce with jam or something lol ie. you can eat anything including a car tyre but it would be disgusting lol

Sure but why are you confusing us with the UK - we are as UK as you are. We are both ex UK colonies separated by thousands upon thousands of kilometers. I didn't make the strange comment conflating us with the UK. We are as UK as Canada or the US I suppose which is to say not very UK lol

Having said that, If I tried to enter the UK they'd deport me for not having a UK passport even if I'd be a native of the UK genetically which is kind of ironic. I'm more English genetically than the King of England I'd venture to say!!!!! He's Greek, German, Russian and god knows what.

sorry, i was being too vague in my description. I mean historically and culinarily.
Who is more "UK" was not my intent.

That's also why I mentioned, like, a year ago, that I found an alternative that passes what I call the overdose test. Unfortunately I haven't seen the product for a while now.

There was all the headroom in the world for accidentally spreading too much on your bread or toast. Vegemite fails that test every time.
 
@Monkey Man - tell me about South Africa. I’m semi-ignorant on topics in that part of the world. It seems like it would be an amazingly beautiful place, but the politics (as I understand it) undermines the desirability. What’s the 50k foot view of things? I suspect you’re in AUS for a reason.., 🤷
