They are a reptilian company that require lots of personal data to access their online database of amp sims. Very clunky to use, pretty steep learning curve. That said, for $130 you have basically limitless digital amp sims and drive pedals to choose from. Super versatile & once you figure out how to make it work for you pretty easy.
At the price, you can't beat it. Just expect to put in several hours watching youtube tutorials & fucking with the settings & getting frustrated with the software

Nope I’m out. Can’t do it. As I get older my attention span decreases. Fuck that. No interest in giving them my life history or having to take correspondence courses to use the pos. Thanks homie!

Might be good. But I’d wait a bit because cheap modellers that can run NAM A2 are about to start appearing.

I like ToneX a lot, but you do have to learn their system. You have to use the software and understand what you are doing in the software before loading your sounds on the pedal. It is also the best, IMO, if you have real amps you want to capture. I have made hundreds of captures of my amps, so it is nice to have my actual amp sounds in a format that I can stick on little pedals.

This too. I did tons of ToneX captures, but lately I have been making NAM A2 captures. It is a great system also. I think we will start seeing a lot of hardware units that can run these in the next few years.

Software sucks. But I modeled my 69 Plexi and it’s a cool tone, not spot on, but usable for a tiny rig

I actually have a really cool sounding setup right now. So I’m thinking I need another little modeling unit for practice or a simple carry rig. The little isp stealth amp is a thumper and it’s tiny….

Yeah, unless you simply need a modeler/profiler right this moment, I'd wait a few months for the latest wave of NAM A2 players to catch up.
They should all run the same basic captures but there are bound to be at least a few that let you do it without all the bullshit.

For the size & price point tonex can't be beat. I gave those fuckers a fake name & burner gmail address, spent a day learning their crap software & now I'm off to the races.
I use it for bedroom practice, a lightweight travel rig for stopped down sets & as an experimental boost/eq in front of my analog rig ... Been getting cool sounds modeling a clean & cranked sunn model T & putting it in front of a high gain soldano clone. The built in noise gate, eq & compressor are usable & add to its versatility. Built in reverb is doodoo tho

Tonex is good. Software is much easier to use now, was pretty difficult before. I have the little pedal and big one. Using the software to practice thru the computer is pretty nice.
