I'm more inclined to list the pivotal circuits which inspired all of the great amps here such as the SLO 100, Marshall Super Lead Plexi, Marshall 2204 JCM 800, Vox AC30, and Fender Bassman 5F6-A.

There's NO WAY to possibly narrow that down to 5 amps unless you break it into categories or most recorded amps of all time. Plus it varies from era to era. The top amp of all time is the bassman because it's the DNA of modern rock amplification. Like the face that launched a thousand ships.

Of my current/previous..

1. Mark 2C+
2. SLO
3. Jubilee
4. Cameron Aldrich
5. JMP/JCM 2203/4

And I know damn well a Wizard would be in there if I had one. Honorable mention to a VHT Deliverance.

*"What amp do you most regret selling?"

I suppose I regret selling my Bruno Cow Tipper Pro II 35 combo the most.

fender twin (best clean sound to me, and love the feel of the amp also)
gower rock monster (as far as modded Marshalls go, man, check this gain machine out!)
ccv (sold for pretty cheap in order to buy it back when the buyer decides to sell)
Cameron 50 watt Aldrich I had with a bogner transformer
Masotti x100m classic (amazing, amazing, amp!) my current amp

I'm glad to see a lot of Fender Super Reverb love in here. That amp drips with tone.
