Got to play around with the Mini more today so good how does the Maxon808 compare?
I do not know ?BrentSSL":3alwkqe0 said:What's the difference between the ts808 and in the maxon?
The TS808 is slightly more compressed, with more "creamy" lower mids, slightly softer and warmer. The Maxon is bolder, more open, slightly less middy, but still in that Tube Screamer camp for sure. The difference is subtle once you drop lots of gain on top, though.BrentSSL":3rgz26zh said:What's the difference between the ts808 and in the maxon?

I like the Ibanez better, personally, because it colors the sound more. I get why some people prefer the Maxon, though.
If you want more open and less mid-hyped while still sitting firmly in the Tube Screamer camp, give the TC El Mocambo a try. It's dirt cheap, and I feel it does the job the Maxon does as well.
I just watched that two days ago it's awesome they did a great jobrev156":vdocljz3 said:https://youtu.be/qh94KWxqrYs

Having said that my OD of choice goes between the BB preamp, the MI Audio Blues Pro, a Timmy, and the fulltone fd-2
