I felt like trying to capture that Fryette tone in a room today. Something different I just love that Ultralead tone... I could seriously just chug and gallop riff all day on that thing
Sounds cool! The UL I had was one of the most saturated amps I've ever owned. Don't get it honestly because of everything I ever read contradicts that. Weird analogy here but the best I can think of...it was like eating something so sweet it's just too much. The saturation was so syrupy thick and saturated it was just to much for me.

Wow... I can hear the syrupy saturation you are talking about in this clip, there seems to be no crunch at all like the saturation overwhelms the crunch. Where was the gain set on this clip?

I can see how its not for everyone for sure. For all my keeper amps they have to have their own thing going on, at least thats how I try to justify having a handful And the UL definitely has its own thing in comparison to all my el34 type amps, it just sounds so angry and pissed off compared to say my Butterslax. Definitely captures aggressive riffs better in my opinion
