WEll, I found some keeley mods online. I decided to go with the "Frampton" mod. After about twenty minutes under the iron, my TS-9 is back up and running, and sounds great. Not sure what was dead, but apparently I replaced it in the mod.

a TIM or Timmy. I prefer the TIM with my MArshall JMPs and the Timmy with the JCM800.

I played the Timmy right next to a MIJ SD-1 and i gotta say, i would probably pick the SD-1. This was boosting Paiges Rivera amp. Considering that the Timmy is $200 and the Tim is $300, i really don't think they're worth that much dough.

Hey Carl, i come in peace. Did you get banned from TGP? They banned me for something fucking stupid and actually threatened to contact my ISP which could potentially result in FIOS canceling my service, according to them. As if TGP is that important and i doubt Verizon could give 2 shits about TGP.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with a TS-9, IMO. I just got a bunch of compliments on my tone yesterday in my degree ensemble with nothing but LP > TS9 > Fender blues junior.

I used to use the Maxon OD808 until I got my Krankshaft. IMO the Krankshaft totally blows away the Maxon. That said, there are 1,000 different flavors out there and 10,000 variables of guitars, pickups, amps, and your ear of course.
Happy hunting!!

I dont know where you got those prices  . I bought my from Tone Factor new. I paid $129 for the Timmy and $159 for the TIM. I got both within the last 4 months.

Didn't they stop making the Tim and Timmy? I don't see them on the Tonefactor site. All the used prices for the Tim are $250 and up on Ebay.

Check out TGP...that is what used Tim's and Timmy's are going for (I sold mine for $190). There is a very long lead time to get a new one from Cochrane and people are lining up to pay more just to get their hands on one...

It took me about 6 months to get my Timmy from Cochrane. So far I am liking, it sure is different than your standard Tubescreamer to my ears....
