John Norum just flat out sounded great on Don Dokken's "Up Form the Ashes" CD. Too bad the singing was stale and had no energy.

Great rocking tune, solo hits at 3:37 and it smokes!!

Great tone, solo starts at 2:45

Can't forget Aldo Nova, solo hits at 3:15

Gotta give props to Ace as a guy that played well but inspired a generation of guitar players to greatness. If Kiss Alive I did not exist....

"A good player can make great plays, but a great player makes a team great". Ace fits that criteria.

Ace is a huge influence for me!

Kiss Alive I was my first concert. Destroyer was 3rd. I was lucky enough to see some obscure little band open for Styx, ..... ZZ Top, back in the day when Billy laid down the serious blues rock...... How many teenagers got their first does of stink finger under the blacklight glow of a KISS poster in their room with the girl next door. Sweet memories.... They were not just a band.... It was a social statement that the man was not gonna keep me down !!!!

Didn't think about him right off the bat but it's true, Kiko is more of a virtuoso than 99% of "virtuso" guitarists

A guy who has gotten really good in the last few years is Dweezil Zappa. Since he's done the ZPZ stuff, his playing has really progressed, matured, very good player now.
