Nothing defective. And do NOT spray it with contact cleaner!

So, what would you do?

Based on the explanation given I'd tell him you ain't GC/MF/Best Buy but if he wants to treat you like that...the re-stocking fee is 20% on receipt of unit in good condition...

FWIW My hotplate does exactly the same thing.

Who, in the name of God, uses a Hotplate @ -16?

Tone is awful at that level.
Lets see... I do, as well as Paul Gilbert.

Well good for you if you dig that - I did not like that at all with my Plexi. To each it's own I guess.

i'm glad to see that buyer get owned by Ed.
It's one thing if the buyer tries to work with the seller and get the item fixed or take some action(s) to fix the item but when the buyer is totally uncooperative, then that just irks the crap out of me.

I sold one pedal to a guy in Europe before and it worked perfectly but then upon arrival he said it didn't work. I told him to check his power supply and he did but it still seemed like he just wanted his money back. turns out he used the wrong adapter and fried some of the parts on the pedal.

I guess that adds a second question - if someone has buyer's remorse, would you refund their money?
My answer to this is that it is irrelevant because no one having buyer's remorse is gonna tell you they do. They are gonna make up some other semi-legit reason for getting their money back. Bottom line is that I always refund no matter what the reason if the request is made quickly...

Steve

I hear you Steve but not sure I agree with this,

Say you buy one of my GMW guitars and I am POSITIVE that the guitar is as described and even go as far as taking it to a professional to ensure that the neck and body are good to go. I pack it very very well and you receive it over in your prety cali climate after it sat for years here in Connecticut and alas the neck has moved. You call me stating that the guitar is fretting out and the sustain is next to nothing.....you just dont dig this guitar so you email me saying dude not happy with this guitar I want to return it for a full refund.

Your saying that I should comply to your wishes?

I was just going to mention that; hopefully it helps hearing it come from the horse's mouth, so to speak :)

I'm not saying you should do anything. I'm merely describing what I'd do.
