usps?

I stopped using anything but USPS a few years ago and have had zero issues with lost or late packages FWIW.

Now my latest purchases aren't going to get here on time this week...

I've had mostly positive experience using USPS express overnight for guitars. Just had one guitar get delayed and it was their F up...they fully reimbursed me as it didn't make it on promised day.

Maybe I am missing something? Why would you use United States Postal Service to ship something between 2 foreign counties, Austria to Australia? No offense to mail couriers but they're a bunch of divas around my parts. They won't even get out of their truck to deliver my mail if the mail box is blocked by a car. And this isn't a new habit they have been like that the entire 7 yrs I've lived at this address. USPS problems are much deeper than just the "Higher level".

They've had problems for years. I bought a guitar via eBay about 10 yrs that was shipped by USPS. Came from the south east (Virginia or Kentucky) to MN. It took 21 days. Why?? I can walk that far in 21 days. Maybe they should of never started shipping large packages. Moral of the story don't call a plumper to fix your car.
Unless I'm missing something he tried to ship to Australia and it went to Austria...

I think our postal service is declining. I have had more issues recently than ever before. Two lost packages. Late on probably three out of five. This one is ridiculous. It was correctly labeled for Australia. Had to refund the buyer. Sent back here only to be sent back to the same wrong Country. Another one today should have been here and is not. What's going on? Budget cuts, outsourcing mail movement. It's a shame as this is one of our oldest institutions going downhill. Anyone else having issues. I have had maybe 15 transactions in the last two months with an issue with about half of them or more.

I've been experiencing similar problems lately.
Two packages delivered to the wrong address. (Eventide pedal returned thanks to a cool neighbor. The other went MIA.)
Multiple delays both inbound and outbound. The worse being my most recent shipment of an AxeFx XL that was supposed to be delivered on a Tuesday but didn't show up until Saturday.
Fortunately, it showed up in great shape and my customer was really cool about the delay, but man, I slept poorly that week.
Tracking info as of late has been borderline useless too.

I've been waiting on a USPS package that was sent on Feb. 20th. Insane.

I sent a Priority mail package out on 3/29. It is supposed to be 2 day. It's still not there. They came out with a new Priority service making it seem like it would be faster. Now instead of 2-3 days it's more often 4 days. They also got rid of their Express service. It's now Priority Express for much more money. They say it's overnight, but it is really guaranteed 2 days.

USPS does not own any airliners. Anything that needs to be transported by air uses a FedEx jet.

Waiting on an AxeFx...it's been sitting in Chicago for two days doing nothing. Irked. Hope it gets here.

It's just a crap shoot if you will get your package on time or even at all. Since my last post, I kid you not they lost another one, and and another is going round and round from not even that far away. Sent Priority and it's four days now. Just arrived back to the wrong location again and the address is correct. What's going on. I think ups or fedex is the best option. I would be afraid to trust anything major like a guitar with usps now.

I was just thinking about this topic last week. Things have changed drastically with USPS in the past 7 or so years.

Back in 2008 I bought a guitar in a shop while vacationing in Maui. Had it sent back to my home in Maryland and it took less than 3 days. It was shipped Priority and not over-night. Recently, small packages within the same state have taken over a week!

Just seen this thread. There are tourist T-Shirts sold here in Austria making fun of people confusing us wie Australia.

So is this what happened?

They have raised their prices recently. I used them only for several years, but UPS is cheaper for certain size items.

Used USPS for INTL 200+ times without any issues except some temporarily lost packages that were located within 2 days of initiating a trace. The occasional guitar with a damaged OHSC too but nothing bad.

I just went on to Fulltone website for a part and here is what I read. You might want to reconsider using them. Their poor service is more recent.

ALL SALES FINAL. NO RETURNS. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Due to many packages being lost by the postal service, we no longer ship via USPS (no exceptions) and now only ship via FedEx Ground. We also can no longer ship to PO Boxes.

All payments are now processed through PayPal. A PayPal account IS NOT REQUIRED but transactions must have a confirmed address as per PayPal requirements. YOUR SHIPPING ADDRESS MUST BE YOUR CONFIRMED PAYPAL ADDRESS.

All sales are final. US sales only.

Its getting so bad ..............that sometimes I get lost just going to work.
