The tag board on my '72 50w is missing, but the ink stamp bled through and is still on the chassis, no signatures visible.

Yep such a great debut album--my favorite...It still sounds great and Ive played 100s of times. Would have been nice for some sort of documentary to come out on this one for its 40th.

Any other band could do this. I doubt Donn Landee is on any better terms with Ed than Michael Anthony is these days.

Lo, for ye secret of Lords Van Halen's debut 'tis in ye song-writing, as mush as musicianship!
"Ain't Talking about Love"
"On Fire"
"Ye Atomic Punk"
"Running with ye Devil"
...etc.

These odes art written and play'd at a level most advanced.

This post now concludeth!

Have you read Noel Monk's book, "Runnin with the Debbil" ?

All 3 of those guys treated Sobolewski like dirt.

Yes, read it and Van Halen Rising. MA got a raw deal. He'd probably do it for free just for the fans. The other three would probably want him to pay them for the privilege.

I about crapped myself when I heard this....bear in mind that was 1988 and I grew up on Van Hagar and not ashamed of that :-)

Solid album, still love to play it to this day.
