As far as I know, the only part of Randy's playing that was taken from a different performance was his solo spot at the end of "Suicide Solution", which is from the King Biscuit Flower Hour, Montreal 81 show. The big tell-tale sign that it is lifted from that show on Tribute is that Randy's playing momentarily stops and the very beginning & end of the solo, not to mention the change in his tone.
You can hear the "Tribute" solo here, along with the actual performance of "Suicide Solution" it was taken from (notice no stops in playing before the start/end of the solo![]()
The Tribute version of "I Don't Know" is also from KBFH.
It's not from the KBFH, Montreal 81 show. "I Don't Know", along with every other song on Tribute (save for "GTR" & "NBM"), are from the Live at Music Hall, Cleveland 81 show, which Kapo_Polenton posted a link to above. The Cleveland 81 performance of "I Don't Know" was played once on a Randy Rhoads special of the old radio show "Metal Shop". Perhaps you are thinking of that by chance?
Here's the KBFH, Montreal 81 performance of "I Don't Know", which is clearly not the same as on Tribute ( for example, Randy plays the descending trill lick before the start of the second verse in the correct spot here, and not a full bar early
