New Van Halen?

This.

We have to face this reality and temper our expectations accordingly IMHO.
Honestly, I thought this was going to be extra studio tracks that weren't released, not them acting like they are an active band making new music. This is just sad to see all of the bands refuse to release the memories of what once was.

Had to explain to a friend the other day that basically zero people care about the Beatles dude, haven't since the 90s at least, as they were going on about Paul McCartney forever.

The magic and youth of VH1 2 and all of those early VH albums is gone with the wind..they were young then but Alex is 71 now..I don't see it..

Never seen anyone anywhere say "God I just gotta get the A Different Kind of Truth tone" Its always the early albums that get most of the attention..

I wouldn't go see Sammy or DLR if I had free tickets and a meet and greet. They both have been so difficult over the years, just slamming Ed when it was convenient. Not saying Ed was a saint but enough already.

I hope they throw something together and it is separate from Van Halen. I hope it is all instrumental or just have guest singers or something. Screw Sam and DLR. Let them get their checks and stay clear of amazing music.

That's why I kept telling a friend of mine we better go see them on their last tours because eventually all of these aging rockers are going to finally quit. I can't believe AC/DC went back out after their final tour in 2016 but they either still enjoy it or need the money.

We seen VH on the very last tour in 2014/2015. AC/DC 2016, Motley Crue 2016 and Black Sabbath 2016 and MSG, 2018 Jake E Lee 2019.

We seen Wolfie in 2024 it was a good show, but it wasn't Van Halen but we weren't expecting that.

I'm sure Ed had alot of stuff recorded that never made it to albums, it's probably up to Wolfie if he wants to release any of it or not or just leave it alone.

I'm going to ACDC but not expecting to be blown away. More of a way to say farewell to my heroes. I saw them in 88' with my best friend and we were center stage, front row, hanging on the bar, and Brian and Angus were literally right in front of us. Now I'll be up in the nosebleeds eating a soft pretzel....lol.

That was all Sammy , Dave never slammed Ed the way Sammy did over the last 20+ years with his book and YouTube rants . In the 80s sure it was a different story but they were all taking shots at each and more of it was coming from the Sammy fronted VH . There’s a reason Alex is on good terms with Dave and not Sammy

if this was the throwaway stuff i’d love to hear what just missed the cut in this era because the tone and vibe was killing here!

Curious about it, even though I think we're all goind to be skeptical about the guitar playing...

Some Van Halen Chronicles videos recently showed up on YT. Allegedly leaked. One was a 19 minute video backstage at Madison Square Garden. I suspect these weren’t recently leaked and that guys here have already seen them. But I don’t know.

How many new records has Alex been involved with since 1998? 1? 2?

I doubt we ever see anything released by him in his lifetime. Perhaps if Wolfie needs money or is bored he will sift through the tapes and put something out. The idea that there are whole songs in the can that just need polished up is unlikely (to me). I would guess that Alex's life has very little to do with music these days in terms of playing or creating. I am sure he is involved in the business side of him getting paid. The guy looks retired to me. I loved his playing and sound though. I doubt he is very energetic at this point.

Got it made and hot for teacher? Not when someone shares your mic and turns the knobs on your guitar for you, pissed him off didn't it? arggg! Nerds nerding. Poor Nuno, sounds pretty great anyway.
