What's the going price on the vented G12T-75s? Seller has them in a really bad condition marshall 2x12. I'd throw the cabinet out. Just buying for the speakers. Seller is out of his mind listing it above $500.
Definitely wouldn’t be a redundant move.I have a '83 JCM800 4x12 cab with G12-65s. I hope I'm not being redundant with these vented G12T-75s. My plan would be to put the 75s in a Bogner 2x12.
I'm also looking at another pair of 75s that are from 1994 taken out of a JCM900 cab.
Thanks. I'm hoping the seller doesn't know what he has. I really don't want to pay more than $300 for a road kill 2x12 cab with those speakersJust a guess, but I wouldn't pay more than about $150-$175 for a vented T75, maybe $200 max. Brand new versions are $160 and older non-vented, skunk strip, and black/white labels are plentiful around $75-$100. Just a guess, though.
I assume the 65s were old ones too, not reissues correct?Definitely wouldn’t be a redundant move.
I compared my vented 75 loaded JCM800 cab directly with my friend’s 65 loaded Marshall, and the difference was exactly as Racer said. The 75’s have slightly lower mids, and extended lows and highs. A bit more scooped in comparison but nowhere near as scooped as the later version 75’s.
Together the 75 and 65 cabs absolutely killed.
Yes sir, vintage checkered cab.I assume the 65s were old ones too, not reissues correct?
I swear people are out of their minds these days. It doesn't help that he looks like the comic book guy from The Simpsons.Seller on FBM is living a dream thinking he will get $550 for this Marshall JCM800 2x12 cab. He won't negotiate, won't give me a reasonable price and told me to suck dick. Here's the listing. Please inquire and have fun. Got to laugh at the duct taped handle. Please don't mention the value is the speakers.
