My Fractal desire has become great though I generally dislike amp modeling. However, the thing I can't get over is that though the differences are hardly perceptible these days, sooner or later your ears will pick up on it and makes you long for real tube tone. I've noticed the same thing with albums recorded with modelers. Over time, your ears perceive something and it's not that timeless tube tone that keeps you listening to the same albums forever. I think this is true for the most part, but it seems the distance is quickly closing, and this video is a compelling case to make for amp modeling.
