That's pretty much how I feel about it.

Considering I had pretty much written Eddie and the band off a long time ago - I'm not going to get too fussed.

I mean look at the alternative. What if Eddie was still addicted to shit or worse yet ....overdosed or died.

For all the crap he's gotten over the years, I have a lot of respect for him in pulling his life together and giving us another tour with Dave, and finally a new album. I hope it won't be the last. Haters are going to hate regardless.

The reason it doesn't really sound like classic VH is because Michael Anthony's vocals are missing. That was a huge part of their sound.

Can't agree with this statement. Yeah, Mike will be missed in the backing vocal dept on the classic VH tunes....But, no backup vocals by anyone are going to fix the generic cheese lyrics on this.


I wouldn't give up on it yet though, a lot of the time bands seem to release a crap track as their first single.

Ed's solo was pretty good though.

Of course it's your choice, but for me, the guy never did anything to personally hurt me, so I'll buy his damn album.

I'm not trying to show EVH anything (why would he care - his mindless legions will still scream his name no matter what crap he spews at them), nor do I give a shit about his problems. He completely wasted hours of my time and a significant amount of my cash in '04. As a consumer, I'm simply not spending my hard earned dollars on any more of his tripe... As a guy who WORSHIPPED Eddie, I absolutely see where you are coming from. As crazy as it sounds, I think many of us feel let down and betrayed in some way...

I definitely see where you are coming from Steve and If wasnt getting free tix to this show, I wouldnt be going... besides 100-180 for tix to any show is INSANE unless it comes with complimentary diddling..

It's sad, but I really stopped going to shows years ago. I WILL NOT spend that kind of money for a show.

I'll go to local places, smaller shows, and spend $25-$35 for a show. Kings X, Gov't Mule, Eric Johnson, Robben Ford. Those kind of shows. Like those bands better anyways.

Agreed. I still like going to shows but no way am I spending $100+ for a concert when I can go see incredible guys at the baked potato or even EJ at HOB for like $20. A lot of that is still bs from ticketmaster/live nation too as far as ticket prices, but still. Insane prices. As for the new song... meh pretty much exactly what I expected.

I may be alone in thinking this, but from my perspective i would say the single did what it was intended to do...

It caught the majorities interest, and has them wanting to hear more, for whatever reason that may be. Wether it is because it is liked, or because you hope to hear better, you still want to hear it. I myself enjoyed it
