Viper refinish... hardware

Not sure the shiny chrome would suit the guitar IMO. It may start looking like a 60's T-Bird when you're done. I'd go with some gloss or matte black hardware. The grey smoked chrome would also work.

I'd go brushed hardware on that...keep a classis look to it. Very close to a pelham blue...

Spray a satin clear over the color with a slight buff (shiny, but not too shiny) and then go with all brushed nickel hardware...

Alright, orange peel and all, here it is. Clear coat is done and I'll start wet sand and polishing tomorrow afternoon or Sunday.

Let me recommend micromesh - much better than regular sandpaper IMHO. Amazing stuff for wetsanding.

I'm all setup to go but maybe I'll check it out next time. Tried mesh for wood and didn't care much for it.

Hey guys,

I'm refinishing a Viper and am debating on putting new hardware on it and if I do, what hardware. I think chrome would look great with the blue but white would be an interesting look too. So would black... see my problem?

Also, anybody know whether the bridge pieces are "standard" sizes or even better, have links to where I can buy new a bridge and tuners?

This is the first color coat. I laid it on a little thick so I'm going to do a light sand on it and then shoot a couple very light coats before clear.

Kinda looks like a Gumby headed SG with a 60-70s twist on it. Hope it sounds good. Good luck ~ chrome.
