Volume pedals in efx loop...

I heard that i could stick a volume pedal in the effects loop to act as a master volume.
Can any vol. pedal do this? Or is there a specific thing that i should be looking at?

I'm sure any volume pedal would work. I always use a graphic EQ in the loop and bump down the volume/gain sliders a bit. Works wonders for amps with "touchy" master volumes that go from silent to scream with just a nudge.
