40w is reasonable. It solves an issue of space, was i the only one who read the specs on their site, i should have been reading about the limited number of unitsI gotcha though it doesn't seem like 40 watts would keep up with the average user's 50 or 100 watt tube head.
I'm sure they'll be for sale on reverb for $1200 each once a few have been delivered.

It'd have to be a helluva unit for me to have interest since it's neither a pedal nor rack gear, which puts it in the Fender Reverb tank category of gigging gear hassle. They seem to have been highly touted in their original form but I've never seen or heard one in person.

It's not like its the size of a pedal. Obviously its slightly smaller than a rack but with technology it can have a lot going on for the size that it is not mention a 40w power source for a second output.

It's a half rack size, 8.5 inches wide. I saw something about a rack mount kit being available but that kind of stuff I usually just put on a rack shelf.

Those look a good option also, I have a few of their pedals and they sound great. Hot for Flange, Foot Phase, Electric Mattress.

That pic is literally all I’ve heard/seen about it so far, but it’s not a bad thing it’s in Zakk’s right as he’s got Dime’s OG unit in the rig to compare it to.
The PastFX unit is getting finished up or may already be, I’d imagine we’ll see that first.

I’m quite curious as well. It worked for Dime, but pretty much all gear that worked for Dime is stuff I wouldn’t use, despite loving that dude’s playing.

Me neither but I "discovered" doubling for myself last year and really enjoy it as an always-on effect that doesn't really junk up or obscure my tone. Probably my favorite effect outside of just a good OD sound.

Actually, listening to all that Phil Sayce lately, he uses a slapback as a doubler I believe, really cool way of adding an effect but also, not really at the same time!

I don't care all that much for obvious "effects" other than special case scenarios (hey I'm a blues guy) but the beauty of doubling is it gives your single notes that fatter, juicier sound without being apparent there is any effect being used i.e you don't notice it until it's turned off. Any delay with super short delay times can get you there. Might be worth a shot with your strat if you haven't tried playing with it yet. Hope you're good Drew!

I didn’t think I’d ever get into those kinds of tones and it’s really easy to dismiss him as an SRV clone/wannabe, but for some reason I get magnitudes more from Sayce’s playing and songwriting than I do anything SRV ever wrote and it let me really fall for those tones.
Dude’s on the total opposite spectrum of where my tone home has been, he lays into that bright ass Fender/single coil thing and makes it work. It almost sounds like he’s got a piezo pickup having it’s own output.
And shit like this, that Strat sounds bigger than any metal guitar I’ve ever heard, especially when he’s on the E, A and D strings. That whole room is filling up with low end.

His signature pickups see exceptionally bright, brighter than the usual strat pickups which tbh has been my experience with all the Duncan pickups (humbuckers) that I've ever had my hands on. I think that's what is giving you that piezo effect. Looks like he's plugged into a deluxe reverb for that smaller room.

His finger strength is off the chart the way he just bends everything and shakes the fuck out of it. He just hits it and doesn’t stop… plus his tone is just perfect strat heavy blues imo… and he’s just a nice humble guy in interviews. Love his Jimi covers. There’s one where he does drivin south in a bar and he just murders that shit.
