I will say the job market sucks from both sides.

Between AI bots scanning applications and retarded hiring managers asking stupid questions, it's no wonder so few candidates can get past the initial gate. There's a good bit of truth to what was said and pointed out in that video.

On the flip side, a hiring manager gets 100 application and maybe 5% are worthwhile. The rest are complete trash. When I say worthwhile I mean meet the very bare minimum. I'm the hiring person for my section and currently trying to fill a vacant position. Both now and in past hiring I get some doozies of applications. Our job posting and application form is pretty basic. It lists basic qualifications; which is only a science degree and asks for education and job experience. I get applications where I don't even think they read the job listing. I see no formal education and job experience is pizza delivery for a chemistry lab scientist position.

A couple other things I've literally seen on applications.
*Calling a former supervisor a shithead.
*Reapplying to the lab (in general) and badmouthing their former department.
*Someone put "none of your business" on the employment history part.
*Salary requirements greater than what the director makes while have little to no experience.
*Complete broken english and misspellings everywhere (like shart-vell Dan and The-Kid type stuff)

Of the 5% that make it though even fewer would be a decent fit. I'm not talking education or experience wise. I'm talking they'd come in, piss everyone off, trash the department, and shit on the floor on the way out.

Here's a couple things I've gotten in interviews...
*Demanding the tone of voice to use with them.
*A rant about George Floyd, BLM, and how police murder minorities.
*Not knowing what job they're being interviewed for.
*A parent demanding to sit in on the interview and answer interview questions for their kid.
*Scrolling their phone during the interview.
*Incoherent ramblings that have nothing to do with the interview questions.

So yeah... there are a lot of crap employers/hiring managers out there, but there are a large number of crap candidates as well.

Good. I'm glad the younger generation sees work for what it is. These fucks don't care about you and your family or your mortgage. Fuck em. I hope they go out of business because there's nobody to work. IT is the worst. You get these fuckheads that ask you questions they get off the internet and expect you to pull an answer out of your ass on the spot. FU. I can and work circles around 99% of the people I've come across in IT. What these fucks don't understand is that peoples brains work differently. I'm not the type that can pull information out of my ass but sit me down with an issue and I'll solve it quickly. Drives me bananas. Can't fucking stand IT and all the pretentious high horse assholes in the field.

They want your soul at these jobs, while you get fucked by HMO's, taxes. Fuck this fucking country.

Start a business where you do some physical work. It's a good life.

Crazy Inbred Beta Phoney Iommi (Blue Dot In TX) pulled an all nighter considering he says he's from New Zealand. :ROFLMAO:
