We keep hearing... "Nobody wants to work anymore!"

Yep, I have 3. Plugging them in is really not hard work though, not sure what you guys are thinking there. Have you ever seen an electric car? Do they have modern amenities where you live?

I'm sure he's totally ripped from giving orders to other people to haul dirt and mulch all day.
True that these days I'm mainly doing computer work, having client meetings and organizing crews. I'm hoping I'll be able to be working physically this year as much as prior years soon. It's a big change as the business has expanded, I am needing to do more of the admin side. So, yeah. Lifting weights before or after work, keeping up with running also helps.

Wow, you really like to live dangerously Brother JD.

Twice today you've posted 3 in-a-row in 3 minutes. Sooo close to a ticket to Titty-Heaty.

Time to expand beyond 24hrs ban?
I understand the sentiment, but no. Not for something like this.

I just wanna keep the forum as readable / browsable / enjoyable as possible and peeps' seeing other peeps incurring penalties should nip this in-the-bud.

It wasn't something one saw often previously. For whatever reason there's been a small outbreak of it recently.

For additional clarity:
It's only if the posts are condensed time-wise that it's a "problem". In such circumstances editing previous posts for addition thoughts / info makes sense.

If someone's been AFK for a while it's evident when I look at the post times. 10 or 15 minutes right through to days? I ignore it. Seems fair to me.

I don't think it's a lack of wanting to work.....

It's a lack of ambition. It's a lack of goals. It's a lack of purpose.

Without ambition, goals and purpose....it's very easy to convince oneself that work is pointless.

Victim mentality is also at its apex. Everyone is a victim. Workers are victims of the big bad employer.

Until young people....and many older people...figure out their goals and purpose in this short life, I don't see this trend throttling down.

The almost incessant comparison shopping of other peoples lives on social media has made it even worse. Influencer culture is rotten to the core.

It's the welfare state, why work work the gobernment will sustain me.

Get rid of all social programs, kids will work or starve like the generations that proceeded them.

For clarification brother is it 3 posts within 3 min with text only too, or is it 3 within 3 that have pics/gifs? I personally thought it was the latter - although I never do that anyway. :D

To be fair, for 'some' of our regulars (not picking on JD) it can be difficult to Edit if they don't know how to use the [ ] Toggle to BB code. The new XenForo 'feature' isn't always user friendly. If you want my opinion, if you are replying to 3 different people, it should be fair to address those in separate posts. :dunno:

But the spirit of the rule should be common sense to all. I wish it could be applied to pics/gifs within a single post as some like to max out this feature which clogs the forum. Again, I never do that

Either, with the exception of cases where the max limit for uploading pics is reached (10 per post).

For we audio types, and for most peeps, to be fair, learning how to quote is far from difficult; it's not rocket science. It's impractical to make exceptions to a rule 'cause of folks' "incompetence".

Agreed on the Xenforo-quoting thing. I haven't even learned how to use it properly myself 'cause I'm used to BB Code due to having frequented phpBB-based forums for donkeys' years. I toggle it on and off many times very visit.
