For we audio types, and for most peeps, to be fair, learning how to quote is far from difficult; it's not rocket science. It's impractical to make exceptions to a rule 'cause of folks' "incompetence".

Agreed on the Xenforo-quoting thing. I haven't even learned how to use it properly myself 'cause I'm used to BB Code due to having frequented phpBB-based forums for donkeys' years. I toggle it on and off many times very visit.

Yep. Agreed on the BB Code. I'm toggling all the time.

I wish that feature could just be turned off in settings. If I need to see how pretty my post is going to look, I can just use 'Preview'.

I find it really-handy to toggle back to the finished layout to check that my quotes and nested quotes have worked before I submit.

I don't think it's a lack of wanting to work.....

It's a lack of ambition. It's a lack of goals. It's a lack of purpose.

Without ambition, goals and purpose....it's very easy to convince oneself that work is pointless.

Victim mentality is also at its apex. Everyone is a victim. Workers are victims of the big bad employer.

Until young people....and many older people...figure out their goals and purpose in this short life, I don't see this trend throttling down.

The almost incessant comparison shopping of other peoples lives on social media has made it even worse. Influencer culture is rotten to the core.

When you have parents that are used to delivery to home on everything, coddle their children as if they are made of porcelain and want everything easy......

You get a below average, lazy and uneducated generation like what we see with Generation D Minus..... And it doesn't discriminate between Republicans or Democrats either. Can't really blame anyone else but the parents.......
