Wed-dry-wet question

I think the OP doesn't realize the wet signal is 100% wet in his version. So if you increase the wet signal there is no dry increasing, or phasing.

Current W-d/D/W-d rig. SLO is 100% dry, X99 is parallel d with the wet.

Hearing Pat's rig made me have Dave F. put a line out in my little Jet City head.

I should be able to run my wet signal from the line out to my TC repeater to power to speaker(s).
Does that sound right?

That sounds right. Line out > FX > poweramp > speakers. Remember that your amp NEEDS it's own cab for the dry sound, you can't just just run the line out into the effects for the wet sound only.

I want to do a Wet/Dry but for the wet i have a 2x12 cab but i want to wire that in stereo for my wet side.

Thanks Dan!

yes as long as the jet's line out doesn't overload the tc pedal. set the amp clean, take the line out to the pedal, and send the pedal output to power/speaker.
if the repeats are distorted you're overloading the pedal's input.

i use the hotplate for a few reasons.

1) it allows me to have a variable level control knob on my line out signal, so i can fine tune the signal level going into my fx device, from instrument level ready pedals, which can clip easily if the signal to them is not attenuated, to line level rack gear which expect line level signals.

2) it allows me to open up the power section more which fattens the tone and affords less preamp gain.

3) it has that noise reduction lightbulb circuit which knocks down hiss from the amp.

4) the bright and deep switches are useful at various volumes.

Hey Pat
Thanks for the info!

The Repeater does have 2 inputs, one for the guitar straight in, and one for line level.

Should that solve most volume issues I might have, or should I see if Dave can install a level knob to go with that line out?
