I wasn't just stuck on the clams, I just find it awkward even watching him play, but hey...could have just been that one show. For this vid though
The kid could stand to loose some weight and the ultra unappropriate 80s shitfiddle, but other than that his performace jusdging by one lame ass tune off a lame ass album that should never have been called Rainbow... you get my drift.

Bottom line, if this was one of the guys from here playing with the Rainbow out take guy we all would fall over trying to blow him. But since it's Blackmore's kid we get all wound up...fuck that, he plays fine, this isn't rocket surgery it's crap 3 chord pop "metal".
This IS why Nirvana sold millions.
Two thumbs up bro! I agree.

I dont know Ed, I didnt think much of that at all and if it was the performance of someone here, I probably wouldnt have said a word good or bad. As it is, its billed as a Rainbow reunion more or less and that in and of itself comes with certain expectations that this kid didnt even come close to living up to IMO...

To look at it from another angle, like youve said many times, the best of the best have off nights, Im willing to give him a bunch more listens before I write him off...

Neither did I, put the thing that stuck out like the proverbial sore thumb was the vocal performance afaic. Even though the kid looked uncomfortable I can hang with his performance, JLT on the other hand I expected more from.

Ad yes bro, the are always plenty of stroking sessions around here...you know that.

As for how it's billed, look at it this way you think the majority of us guys that came up in the 80s wouldn't kill to get Blackmore's sloppy thirds? Of course we would. Go back and check what a beating Vai got for going out with DLR, Chapman when he pkayed in UFO orr Tommy for that matter, let alone Lawrence Archer. Once you gotta fill big shoes, chances are you have blisters.

And yes we all drop turds, but there is zero reason to go back and pick them up.
