The PPIMV in my 800 was really good when knocking off just a bit of volume. Might be the ticket to get the pre-PI master up a few notches but keep the overall volume at least sort of semi-manageable. Easier on the power tubes too, which might be both a plus and a minus.

This is my experience with PPIMVs in both 2203s and plexis both

Don't use extreme settings, use judiciously and it will help alot. If you're trying to make one of these amps a bedroom recording amp while the baby is asleep in the next room? Probably not gonna have a cash money time.
