nothing at all - read death by ubershall's signature - its in his sig. im colourblind.

Cornford RK100( didn't sound bad, great lead tone and organic) but it was so boring to play.
Marshall 900, lack of everything.
Marshall dsl 401, the clean was ok but the lead ch sounded like shit.

Almost everything I've owned, up until my Powerball. I had a habit of buying amps without trying them.

1. Ampeg SS amp with a 15 inch speaker. 100 watts. I think it was a keyboard amp.

2. Peavey 4-channel 100 watt amp. Again, it was probably a PA amp or something.

3. Crate Micro-stack

4. ART SGX Express with an ADA power amp. Pure cheese.

5. Marshall JCM900. Devoid of everything.

Since there are things I like and dislike about every amp I have ever played, its hard for me to pick a worst amp. If I had to it would be......

Engl Fireball. For me it was just a bad fit. The name says it all, great metal sound, but that is it. For anything else than all out gain it was not good. The clean was horrid. Great metal sound though, but I play more than just metal :)

2nd worst would be the Vox AC50CPH. The amp had alot of options, but the channel 1 just didn't have the tone of the other Vox's I have played (AC15TBX, AC30CC1, and '66AC50). The gain channel also didn't have much gain unless you engaged the fat switch and then the amp got muddy. The gain channel just left me flat. That said if I could have combined the channel1 on the Vox AC50CPH with the gain channel of the orange RV50 that I had before the AC50CPH, I would have been pretty happy.

Wow, this surprises me. I've read in reviews from many people that the clean channel on the Fireball is absolutely gorgeous sounding. But I've never played one so...

The Crate Blue Voodoo! Of course I never bought one of these. I was working at a large music retailer when these first came out and thought they might be cool. Marty Friedman was endoursing them, so when we got one in I thought it might be ok. Unpacked it, hooked it up and... it made the line6 crap sound good!

limited time - i don't really want to dial in an amp, so for me (not for everyone) if an amp takes a while to dial in, i'm not into it.

and some amps you just know aren't for you after a very short time

VH4
JSX
Vintage Modern
anything Mesa
Dragon

I can get usable sounds out of almost anything. But the worst amp I've played was the Laney GH100TI.. I don't know if I was having an off-day, or there was something wrong with the amp or it needs pedals, but that thing was awful...

tony iommi? i had one jacked stupid loud through two laney cabinets and it sounded fucking awsome. i had a g-major running through the effects loop.

the best silky clean "channel" ive ever played too. it was like playing through a silk sheet of magic. one of the few tones ill never forget in my lifetime. still havent heard anything like it :)

its a single channel amplifier. definately had to know how to use a volume knob and get some volume going for it. maybe thats why you thought so? :dunno:

was using my wolfgang at the time, i only owned that guitar at that time period.

Dude I couldn't get a decent sound out of it... I have no clue what was going on with it... It was like 10 years ago and I still remember how much it sucked.

I also can get a usable sound out of just about anything, but I played a Kustom Tube 12 a week or so ago and I just couldn't warm up to it. I don't suppose the HORRIBLY set-up guitar that I put through it helped matters much. It's bad when you go into a music store and you know more about gear than the guy running the place.

The worst tube amp I've ever heard was the Randall RH50T - by a wide margin. It was so bad it made me physically sick. After that I'd say its a tie between the Line 6 SpiderValve HD and the Krank stuff. I respect if people dig those, but I bought them and *wanted* to like them and they just bummed me out.

I'm not even going to count amps I haven't owned, because trying things out at stores outside your comfort zone can be misleading.

Laney tube amps are pretty good so I'm sure there was just something wrong with it, perhaps some fucked up tubes. I'm not affiliated with Laney or anything but I've owned several and they were always pretty cool when setup right.

I know Laney's sound good. I was very close to buying a GH100L or a VH100R. Its possible something was wrong with it.
Oddly enough I played a Krank and LIKED it! LOL! :D
Just have to turn the presence to like 1.
