Wow, I'm surprised to hear of some racist attacks. WTF? He had a lot of amps, and likes gain, so I was interested in his opinion. I wondered about his rock star status he seemed to portray online?

He's a professional sound engineer, so his clips were always very well done...although some clearly don't like the high end he dialed in. I think he was in an LA band for a time? Not sure how they are doing. I thought some of the tunes he posted were pretty good. I did sell him some of my Mesa STR 415 stash for one of his C+s on Reverb, he seems to be doing well.

I also saw it and that shit was way out of hand. A few guys really showed their true colors.
Reza was very blunt, opinionated, and uptight, but an overall good contributor to the forum.
I’m not a fan of his amp clips. They all have a harsh, brittle character to them.

I agree, also not a fan of his clips but he was a really nice guy. He also tried to get me a guitar that was on Craigslist local to him. I never agreed with him politically but I got nothing bad to say about the guy and actually thought he contributed to the forum and wasn't just a troll looking to start shit. Sorry to see him go over some trolls.

While arguing with a few here about politics, some of the Trump fans started using his heritage(his parents fled Iran I believe) against him. He was clearly a Clinton fan. Telling him to "get the fuck out of this country raghead" was one line I remember. But it was escalating both ways...it was the thread that caused RT to ban political threads I believe.

It's really a shame that people say crap on these forums that they wouldn't say to someone if they were standing right in front of them. Shoot, maybe they would. I have only met a handful of forum members over the years in person and the crazy thing is that even if I got a hint of them maybe being cocky or having some kind of issue, in person they were super cool and normal.

Back in the Harmony Central days we would have some fights on there that you seriously were worried that two people were going to meet up somewhere and fight. LOL! I don't know if it is just from getting older but I just don't have time for that stuff anymore. I just want to help others and have them help me with my guitar addiction.

I kind of remember the toe sucking comments floating around but didn't quite understand it and heard about the racist shit slung at him for being of Iranian decent. I was still new to RT when that went down. I never had any issues with the guy and like his vids. He was usually pretty quick to give advice when asked and definitely had more experience than me with high end gear. His vids gassed me on some purchases for sure.

Sold Reza something back in the day, don't recall what it was. Chatted with him on the phone for a bit. Was at least a few years ago. Very opinionated for sure, but aren't we all? Deal was fine, he was fine. That was really my only interaction with him.

I've always found it ironic that someone being banned here on RT is celebrated within earshot of another thread with everyone complaining about being banned on TGP...

I think it's ok to be opinionated but it's a little crazy to be opinionated & act as if your Opinion is Law or fact based, It's just an opinion. I think he sometimes crossed the line with his Arrogance/Ego. The Racist stuff i will NEVER agree with, NO ONE Deserves that.

Like i said before, his clips to me are harsh & for the most part to my ears they all sound the same.

You guys crack me up. The guy posts tons of gear related clips that are for the most part educational and they’re on some great amps and you guys choose to slam how they sound. Funny thing is, most doing the slamming have never posted shit of there own and would never even think of it. Sometimes I wonder if some of you can even play guitar. I remember when he'd had enough, threatened to leave the forum, then someone made a screen name with "Reza" in the handle somewhere and then he threatened to sue. I think his ego got the best of him. It's funny how folks want to preach tolerance and the "can't we all get along" mantra and they are the very ones intolerant of views that don't align with theirs. Show respect to one another regardless of what they think and things will generally be ok. Reza blew his top - pretty simple.

Reza pretty much intentionally acted in a way that caused people to treat him the way they did. Then went drama queen over it. It happened around the time of the elections. He was posting a ton of political stuff.

There was a time when political and religious post stayed in OT and no one took it personal. People you had arguments with in OT would be the same people you would talk gear and pretty much everyone got along. The last election was hard on some individuals. Maybe a few overreacted.

It wasn't over his name Reza. It was over the name he used. Rezamatrix or whatever it was.

I don't dislike the guy. But wonder why all the drama. I guess its just the nature of the internet. Treat people like whatever and it bounces back instant karma.

He pretty much dropped off a lot of the internet. He pops up on other forums occasionally.
