Yes, ugly scenario and a lot of unknowns. Having said that I can understand standing up for your friends, I really do but even if I was best buds with Mark Cameron after a certain point I would no longer be defending him and would personally be telling him exactly where I thought he was fucking up...that is what friends do, the let them know they fucked up ;)
Bingo.

Dave gave me advice on some potential DIY mods for my JCM 800 and he had some great youtube clips. The removal of the clips was a loss to the community I thought they were quite good personally. :)

Which clips? The guitar clips, or the soft porn?

When Dave left there was a lot more going on than what was posted on this forum....OBVIOUSLY Dave was friends with Cameron....and there were business issues between Brad/Rob/Tone Merchants and Mark....and Dave was in the middle of all of it....if you honestly believe all that transpired was posted here you are crazy....and once it hit the boiling point Dave took his toys and left...its really that simple. Any of you that have actually talked to him or know him wouldn't be slagging him. Could he have done things differently...sure...but hindsight is 20/20. And from what I have seen, the ENTIRE Cameron Amplification debacle was/is a complete train wreck....not really Daves fault but he was stuck in it...

Agree with this. I've met Dave in person and email with him semi-regularly. He's always been cool to me. I think things got heated with Brad and the new Cameron amps and look how that all turned out... Looks like Dave was right.

True Tone sed..

"The downside to sobriety (for me) is that I don't play nearly as well as I use to, and at times I feel like I'm literally relearning how to play. I've also found that I no longer enjoy like listing to the music I was into when I was drinking and drugging. Why, I do not know?

Dude, i just saw the EAGLES LIVE lastnite, the whole band has been sober in recovery for years. I'm talking long-term quality soberiety not in and out of rehab every 6 months like Stephen Tyler.
The name of the tour is "The History of " and everybody was on their A-game especially Joe Walsh who is one of my top 3 all time players.

These guys have never sounded better. I thought i played good when high but my perception was not reality. At 12 years drug/alcohol free ive never rocked harder and i listen to all types of music.

Cut yourself some slack brudda.
12 years is awesome!

Edited babble...

Dave warned me to hold off on sending 3K for a CCV.

Nothing but respect for that.

And he was right.

Serious question.

Why would he remove clips off of youtube though? I mean, I can kind of understand removing all of your posts off of a particular forum but why remove youtube clips?

Demos are demos.

Or was forum banter spilling over into youtube comments?

They were his videos on his youtube channel? I don't understand the confusion. He can remove them if he pleases regardless of what anyone else wants or thinks?

Why would someone remove clips?

That's my question.

Clips, I would think, would stand apart from forum gibberish.

He's an introvert that wants to be left alone? Hell there are a multitude of answers. Login to TGP or HR and send him a message? Curious to his response

I remove clips all the time. The video does not process correctly or It isn't a video you want searchable on the internet. Not hard dude

Because dozens of posts here were links to his videos I would assume. Some were links posted by the same people slagging him right now...

I won't comment on whatever happened with Psychodave and the Cameron drama. All I know is the guy could seriously play and always had killer Marshall tone. I'm bummed that his videos aren't around anymore.

Dave was a cool dude from what I remember. The guy could difinitely play and knew his stuff.

But I swear, if I heard one more 'Bark at the Moon' clip...

I'm glad I'm too poor to even think about Cameron mods or CCV's   I just hate seeing honest hard working people get it right up the ass though :aww:
