Well that's just it...theres thousands of these internet kids that can mimic guitar playing but are not guitar players. You see it everywhere...limitless resources on how to do copy something. I believe anyone with average motor skills can learn anything with hours of practice when its shown to them. Doesn't make them a musician...just a well trained monkey. lol
Then you have the small percentage of kids that have talent...they show up once in awhile. Like that kid they used to call smoking Joe.....Bonnamassa was his last name I think lol.
They are out there but most of them seem retarted when they actually try to play something other than the 4 or 5 songs they spent endless hours on learning in their bedroom with all the tabulature, instructional DVDs and online lessons.
I cant speak for everybody and I don't want to sound like an ass but Im just saying what seems to be the trend these days.
On the other hand now a days you have all this information at your finger tips and talented individuals can really profit from this when they use these tools in the right way. Make leaps and bounds extremely fast...much faster than us old farts that used to have to rewind cassette tapes back and fourth trying to figure out guitar leads and what not, but man did that help out with ear training big time! lol
Like someone said true experience there is no substitute for...for everybody that took the wrong road and got back on track but learned from it. Rant over....Happy New Year BTW!!!!!
