What song are you working on learning?

This is always a fun subject to bring up from time time; song or solo.

Anywho, what song are you guys working on now/last? I'm going back and forth between multiple songs for a cover band I want to do to keep from burning out from spending too long on one particular song. Right now, it's I Believe In A Thing Called Love, mostly the solos.

Well, if you play it on a guitar loaded with DiMarzios, they'll love it and it'll be a huge hit and you'll get rich and famous.
 
Have been working on a piece called "Alternate Ending" for a minute. Piano, acoustic, high gain clean and od, synth, cello, all the fun stuff. A bit on the back burner right now, but have been given a bit of inspiration by a member here to get back working on it. No Dimarzios or JB used must be why I'm having such a hard time finishing it. :unsure:

That's OK if there are no DiMarzios or JBs, as long as there are no EMGs involved.

This is the way to rapidly improve. Take the learning sessions in 15m intervals… it’ll stick better.
 
I just learned Ozzy’s No More Tears all the way through. I learned it by ear and old videos of players actually playing (as I do with most things). After watching a video of Zakk playing it, I’m not convinced he is sweeping at the end of the solo, I think he is sweeping two lines then doing pull-offs for two lines, then sweeping again for two lines and pull-offs for two lines. Of course the SPX 90 sweep could be influencing it to sound different. Thoughts?

Next up is back to Yngwies’s You don’t remember, I’ll never forget. I learned 1/2 then couldn’t figure out a part, so I put it on the back burner.
