Uncle Sam sent me a good tax refund, and my wife is feeling good about being caught up on bills....so she says to me "why don't you take $1000 and get something you really want?"
normally, i would have already pulled the trigger on something, anything.....but now i can't think of what i want. the eleven rack really is that good! the only thing i'm thinking about getting is another eleven rack for sure.
i put a few things in various shopping carts, and bidded on a couple things.....but nothing purchased yet. i thought i would get some opinions before i went any further.
here is what i have now (and most of it isn't being used at all). first, what i am using:
eleven rack with custom warmoth strat.....being used right now. also using two Alto truesonic monitors. sounds so real, i can smell the tubes burning.
the "B" list of gear:
Ibanez RGT42FM with damarzio D Activators (tuned to Bb). combined with my eleven rack "Tesseract" preset, i'm pretty djent happy.
the "C" list of gear:
custom strat with EMG Gilmour set
Carvin X100B BFG modified head
two Carvin 4-12" cabinets
fun when the wife isn't home and i want to feel the power.
the "D" list of gear:
i used this when jamming with my son (about once a year when he feels like playing).
Robin Wedge standard guitar (red)
Blackstar HT-5 head
two custom 2-12" cabinets
stuff i have and just don't use for whatever reason:

clone of Ibanez Jem (wood cracked at tailpiece/won't stay in tune) but looks great. probably easier to buy another body off ebay and just use the parts to make something playable.
stuff i thought about buying:
axe-fx standard - i actually bidded on one for $999 and let fate decide if i was going to get it.....someone else won it for $1084.
Randall Diavlo 20 watt head. it probably would get about as much play time as my carvin...which ain't much. but it would make for another head i could use to make eleven rack presets (clone tone).

it's just perdy as heck! and cheap! but do i really need another guitar?
Rocktron Piranha preamp used on ebay. i really miss that preamp. it does a big hot rodded loose marshall tone...and that's about it.....but nothing touches it for that tone. i could do 70's and 80's jam on that preamp all day.
Mesa studio preamp, quad or triaxis preamp. i do love me some petrucci tone. all of those preamps tend to hold decent value....the studio preamp value has actually gone up over the last year or so.
Fender hellcat acoustic guitar. looks kinda hokey, but plays like a dream. probably the best feeling acoustic i ever played. nice thin neck with super low action....could switch between it and electric guitar with no problem.
and finally, i thought about getting another digitech RP1000 to work in 4CM with any of the heads i have (or might get).
my "problem" is that i grew up very poor, and i never had more than one of anything. and the one thing i had was never the best or even professional. i learned to make lemonade from the lemons life gave me. i have a hard time getting past the "poverty mentality" and buying something of worth. last Christmas i bought myself a $295 custom guitar neck....and i had buyers regret before i even spent the money. i kept thinking that i can buy an entire guitar off ebay for that amount of money....which is why i have several crap guitars i suppose.
i'm also a monogamous guitar gear guy. i tend to only have love for one rig/guitar at a time. i'm scared to plug in the prophesy preamp and jam on it for fear that i might switch to only that preamp for awhile. i used to use that model preamp live for a few years, and it sounded awesome.
right now, i can't make myself spend a dime. i really do have some good gear (for the sounds that i like anyway). so i could use some thoughts from anybody willing to spend the time typing a response.

I would suggest a real nice Hooker, but it sounds like your wife is great if she told you to blow a thousand bucks
