Boss HR-2 Harmonist on the detune setting. Absolutely glorious! Nothing touches it for chorus, I love it.

its absolutely horrible at polyphonic chords though, its definitely not a strymon or eventide

Oh yeah, I don't touch the harmonies at all. The detune is amazing but the harmonies don't hit the mark. I'll use the octave up on some stuff for effect once in a while, but it gets blended in with a delay usually.

Ive got a micro chorus in the classified section. I'll probably regret selling it but I wanna check out something like the cosmichorus.

Analogman bi chorus is the one I kept after trying at least 20. Hated the old boss choruses and do not like mxr. The strymon is not bad but analogman has the best bypass abd best tone. Plus the bi chorus let's you have 2 presets. I keep one as a nice light chorusing and the other as a cool tremolo y vibe.

Usually 200-250 used minty

I love my T.C. Stereo Chorus Flange. If it's good enough for Eric Johnson, it's good enough for me. :)

How's the chorus on the Rotovibe?

The rotovibe's killer. I prefer my rotovibe over my univibe. Very lush, thick, beautiful. Lots of fun. My only complaint is that it starts at full intensity when you first engage it.

I took my chorus pedal off my board about a year ago, best thing Ive ever done, would never go back

I have been really digging these T Rex videos of the chorus flanger

Had a Boss CH-1 for years. That said, in past times I've loved Digitech's Detune setting on the Whammy, in the GSP2101, as well as the EHX Small Clone.

Really love the oldschool Boss CE tones Dean De Leo got on the STP albums.

Bumping as I may want to add a chorus pedal to my board for some ambient sounds and solos. Nothing crazy or expensive as I probably wouldn't use it often.

Hardwire chorus. Multiple settings, analog chorus, true bypass got mine for $50 in new condition....

Updating my vote to the new Boss MD-500. Strymon Mobius cannot hang with it at all what-so-ever

The chorus engine in the Earthquaker Space Spiral Delay is very special. Sounds great clean or for adding some swirly 3D character to high gain solos.
And the Alexander Quadrant Delay's chorus is up there also.

So hard to pick just one, but... 1st place goes to...
1. Boss CE-2, better yet... running 2 CE-2s for asymmetrical stereo (or a CE-3, which is already stereo). Best for adding ambience to clean sounds without seasick waves of modulation.

2. Close 2nd, Fulltone TERC or any of the original Tri-Stereo Chorus units. Sorry, digital just can't do this justice. Best for clean and the most complex.

3. Close 3rd, TC 1210 or (maybe) TC SCF. Does to gain what the CE-2 does for clean. Huge, wide, expansive.

Honorable Mention goes to the original EH Electric Mistress. Technically not a chorus, but don't tell David Gilmour or Andy Summers.

From the digital side...
1. Eventide H3000 (or any of their boxes that contains) Microshift.
2. Yamaha SPX-90 Symphonic or Pitch Change C.

How's the chorus on the Rotovibe?

I looked around for quite a while to find a Rotovibe, and I absolutely love it. It's a fun pedal that allow you to select the "oscillation", so you can add some "randomness" to riffs. It's not as overpowering or vertigo-inducing as a lot of stopboxes, but it allows you to control the "movement" of the chorus.

In addition to the treadle, there's also two trim pots mounted on the circuit board that control a few extra parameters (I think they were speed/sweep controls). I really wish there was more controllability for the depth of the Rotovibe chorus though...

I LOVE my MXR Analog Chorus. I'm running it out front and sending the dry to one amp, the wet to another and it sounds killer on both super high gain and cleans.

I love my DynoMyRoto as well, but it's not as great on the high gain stuff...

Also have a TC Electronic Gravy which is great for cleans out front, not so much for the high gain, unless it's in the loop.
