early in the social media days, I was part of a startup; we built a system to gather, aggregate and analyze social media feeds and provide ways to filter and categorize (e.g., trending, positive, negative, etc.); find patterns, geographic areas, etc.. Taking feeds from several sources including facebook, twitter, etc.

worked great; so you could put your brand name as a filter, and see what discussions were happening across social media, key influencers, trends, etc., in real time.

turns out there was another company with more resources, better funding, better connections, etc., but we had a lightweight, distributed, scalable, working system; and a unique 3D graphic interactive UI they liked...so they bought our IP.

A house made out of legos should add another 10-15% every year to the home's value.
someone actually did this; or similar concept; created building blocks that locked together and could be used to build various structures quickly. IIRC the blocks were made of different concretes depending on shape, usage, etc. was over a decade ago...guess it never took off?

There are a whole bunch of various methods similar to that. Insulated concrete forms are pretty amazing. I wanted to use them for my house since they are lego-like plus get pumped full of concrete after they are assembled into the walls and so are extremely tough and energy efficient. However, it is substantially more money than stick framing hence my decision to go the traditional route.

yes, stick-framing is mainstream so costs will be lower.

There's another company that builds pre-fab concrete "parts" that can be assembled onsite. They actually build and sell these houses themselves in their own subdivisions....so you can't just order one yourself, you have to buy one in their subdivisions.

I've also looked at many online house plans, with the though of buying some property on the coast and building a house on it; nothing too crazy. some were concrete / cinder block

I have an idea for making a safety D shackle, tether and harness system for dumb people in the US who are afraid of falling of the edge of a flat earth.
More simplistic: portable speed bumps you can roll out on the road in front of your house. Includes warning sign.

I have always had cats and they shake their mouths when eating food, getting it everywhere. This is instinctual as they think they're tearing into flesh, not dry cat food, LOL. I had an idea to solve this and even have a design for it, but beyond that, I have no clue where to go next. It would be made out of plastic and foldable so shipping would be easy and low cost. I'd market it to petco and other online pet shops.
Mine don't shake like that but I can see it happening. You'll need a working prototype and a patent submitted.

We're all out of clean socks.

?
I'm sure you have some in storage PLX :dunno:

I remember seeing something like that, too.
Was mostly joking with actual legos since they've outpaced gold over the last 20 years.
Or at least that's the urban legend.

I haven't heard a clip from you in a while..

Well, as you've pointed out I suck at guitar. I'm still in my infancy as it relates to my journey. That, and I've been in 'transition' with my new amp and trying to get everything dialed in.

Nice tone and soloing

What's your new amp?

Yeah, I never said that to you.

You've posted one clip (that I know of) and I gave you the obligatory "nice tone & nice playing too".

You're thinking of something I said to one of your ALTs here.

I appreciate the conversation bro. I think it was the other day. I said something to you like, "you suck at posting - go back to what you're good at. Clips". You said I suck at both  Can't argue with you on that. I've posted more than one clip. They are all in my sig anyway. But you don't click on links even though they are just youtube and soundcloud. That and you have not been here that long, at least under PLX/Arch/Ben. :dunno:

I've never had an alt, nor would I care too. I visit this forum for different reasons. It is the only forum I frequent.

Whom else do you think I am out of curiosity?

I'm a retired engineer, living on a railroad pension.

I make my music in the sun, and catch my lovin' on teh run.

Back to your old ways already

As much time as you spend on here, I'd expect more convo :dunno:

PLX - retired investor
Arch - retired alt
Ben - retired railroad engineer

I'm done playing guitar till 4:00PM

What do you wanna talk about ?

Actually I'm getting ready to head out. You could start by telling me why you think I'm an alt
Then, what cell phone are you using in that clip and what distance/position?
What are you normally using to record?
Do you have any $1M ideas or can you at least make something up? :dunno:
:D
