And actually fyi that bleed cap will affect your tone even when your volume is all the way up. it's slight but it's there. I actually use a mini toggle to take it in and out depending if I want it in the circuit or not.

I even go down to 400-600 pf depending on the guitar and pickup.
Great idea to put it on a push pull pot too!
I just prefer 50's wiring. Every value cap I tried always seemed to thin out my LP too much. If you guys dig it more power to you.dstroud":z1ppb9sb said:LP Freak":z1ppb9sb said:Those treble bleeds sound like cocka
just curious - why don't you like them? I find them extremely helpful in getting a nice clean tone with a single channel dirty amp. But I don't like them all the time, depending on what I'm doing.

No need treeble bleed if you go 50' wiring and good pots as Gotoh or bourns . i prefer Gotoh ...Mr. Willy":oiruv873 said:Which of these will work for 500k volume pot?

Great information! I've been using the circuit posted below. It's a .001uF capacitor in parallel with a 150K resistor. On that link above he also concludes that this is a good compromise, using the 150K resistor instead of his original value in the Duncan configuration. I haven't tried any other treble bleeds than this one, but it has worked out well.marcus262":1u7uu7fx said:Hi,
I tried with only 1nf cap on volume pot lugs (humbucker bridge), and it is too bright when you lower your volume, messes up the eq.
So for optimum result I use 1nf cap in paralel with 220k resistor (Duncan modified). Gives you even eq response and you don't lose any frequency.
Kinman and 50's wiring shift the eq a lot compared to Duncan.
Great info with freq charts, and all kinds of treble bleed circuits here:
