Just wanted to update my thoughts.
After having the Ultra-Lead for a monthy or so, swapping a couple of tubes and throwing an EQ in the loop.......
YOU NEED BOTH.....
Get the 100CL and the Ultra-Lead, these amps are so incredibly bad ass and are different enough to warranting the need for all of them.

I have never played a D and I would really like to. The D120 has been on my radar for a while and the prices are great.
D120 with a loop Vs. Ultra-Lead for metal and NO extras.

The Deliverance can get close but it has a bit more of a vintage tonality to it even though it can get uber agressive as well. To me the Deliverance is more organic and warmer sounding than the UL and is what I would pick for what I do but if I were still just doing metal and had the choice I would get an UL for sure. Also it depends on whether or not you need multiple channels and an effects loop, I do.
Having said that I own a Sig X and wouldn't trade it for either of those amps
To me it can cover any tone I can ever think of and do it extremely well. Mr. Fryette to me is as good as it gets in amp design.

Just got a d120 with factory loop. Great amp. Throw an eq in the loop and you kinda got a poor mans ultralead.
No. Not really.
I like the ul better for sure. Will never be without one. But that's the great thing about this brand. They are all great amps. Pick any one of them. I doubt you will be dissapointed.
