Every time these news V30 variants come out, there’s a ton of hype. Then, a few months in, reality seems to hit. There’s a reason V30’s are the bench mark. Whenever I think I’m over them, I hear them cut through the mix like nothing else. I dig the Mesa V30’s a lot. Just does it for me.

I like my pair of Karnivores, but I have thought about a mix of Karnivore and DV77. That has been one of my favorite mixes of IRs I have been using lately.

The creamback m65 was the softest speaker I have ever tried. It couldn't hold up like the DV77 and there is no comparison from my experience. I'm suprised you liked that speaker.

I think it was a 16 ohm… can’t remember been a while. definitely required some knob turning. I know Havok has used them on their last few releases, I think their tone is solid.

I had a quad in my Splawn 4x12. I was super excited to hear them. They didn’t wow me at all. I sent them back to Sweetwater immediately. I should have tried them paired with V30s.

How were you able to return speakers to Sweetwater? They do not accept speakers for returns...

Was kind of wondering that but just didn't care enough to ask

Karnivores! What say you?

I've got 2 16 ohm karnivores paired with 2 celestion G12h-75's. Their ok but I don't play through that cabinet very often. I was a little underwhelmed by them. Not that they are bad or anything like that. I have just been accustomed to other speaker combinations for so long that I continually gravitate towards.

Same here. A good example of a V30 just sounds right to me. Most everything else has something about it that usually bothers me. The V30 is the standard for a reason. Although some of them do sound a bit harsh. Not all, just some.

I have not. but, as an aside, I believe the F90 is no longer available. FANES are hard to get though.
