Gotta love the draft. Gives hope to everyone, no matter what team you root for. I'm really hoping the Rams will take Michael Crabtree, but it doesn't seem very likely. If they do though, I will be beyond excited.

Who do you guys think your favorite teams will pick?

I'm hoping that Seattle gets Curry, but I'll take Crabtree, Monroe, Raji or Jason Smith just as well

I just want it to be over so I can have Sportscenter back.

I've been training hard. Hope to go in the first or second round. If not, I'm over it.

Just pray you don't get drafted by the Lions. God they suck.

What would you think if they took Sanchez?

Not my first choice but I could deal with it. I think Hasselbeck has 3-4 good years left in him...if he's truly over his back injuries that is

If they are going to take a QB, I'd rather see them Graham Harrell later on

Graham Harrell was a total badass in college, but I can't see him doing anything in the NFL at all.

I also want to see Pat White go to the Texans so he can be reunited with Steve Slaton. :D

Definitely looking forward to it. Always interesting to see who everyone picks.

Tomorrow is going to be a hell of a day: Tons of food, get to catch the Pens game (hopefully they decide to show up this time), and I will have a TV on the side with the draft.

I hate that the Pens game is on at 3:00 and the draft starts an hour later. I wish the game started at 1:00 instead.

I'm with you on that one. At least the intermissions in hockey are long enough to catch a couple of picks.

I'm sure he will be a great player, but I'd rather have them take Crabtree. They can take a tackle with the 35th pick. Guys like Crabtree don't come around every year. If we still had Mike Martz, Crabs would be his choice for sure.

You know Goodell wouldn't allow that. White+Slaton=UNBREAKABLE DYNASTY

And if they traded for Owen Schmidt I would absolutely by all the Texans gear available to mankind. If they then drafted Pat McAfee I would move to Houston, no fucking joke.

But seriously, I'm undecided still who the 49ers should take. They need a lot of help, but this isn't too deep of a draft in the first round. They will probably end up going with an OT since that is the best position in the first round. But they have said they are settled on their QB situation, so that is making me go

The NFL Draft is seriously my favorite single sports event of the year, so I'm getting antsy here. I actually came here to start a thread exactly like this

Crabtree is great, but you are overrating him a bit IMO. He will be a very good receiver, but I don't think he is on the level of Andre Johnson/Larry Legend/Calvin Johnson. He doesn't have their speed or hands.

+1

Mark is my boy but if he had watched Jeremy Maclin like I did, living in St.Louis and seeing every Mizzou game, he'd realize that Maclin is every bit the game changer that Crabtree is...even more so due to his Hester-like ability to return punts/kicks.

With more rules being shifted favoring smaller receivers against DBs, Maclin will probably have a better career than Crabtree. I'm not guaranteeing anything, but I could definitely see it. Unless of course Maclin goes to the Raiders which is looking more likely. I will definitely pity him if that happens.

Maclin just doesn't seem like a great receiver to me. He seems more like Hester. Just a fast guy who can break alot of returns and is an average receiver.

He is going to be miles ahead of Hester as a receiver. Hester didn't even play receiver in college. But IMO the best WRs in the draft are Hakeem Nicks and Darius Heyward-Bay and they won't get taken till late in the first round.
