Who's ready for the NFL Draft?

No way either of those guys are better than Crabs IMO. We'll just have to wait and see.

Crabtree is a little bit of a douche, and fairly immature. He has the most potential in the draft since he has only played receiver for 2 years and made all those crazy catches in college. But when I said "best receivers in the draft" I mean the most ready to make an immediate impact. In the long run it is hard to say who will be the best overall. They might all be busts, who knows?

There has been talk of Pat White being the 4th QB taken, though likely in the later rounds. Everyone thinks he will have a big impact in the Wildcat formation, where he would absolutely dominate. I just hope he doesn't get drafted by some stupid team :aww:

I can not believe the fucking 49ers just got Crabs. Almost as bad as him going to the Seahawks. Ugh. Fuck my luck. That guy is gonna be an amazing player, just watch.

You know I hope you are right

I am very excited that he fell that far. I didn't expect that to happen at all. I can't believe it. I think his immaturity rubbed a lot of teams the wrong way, but Mike Singletary won't put up with any of that shit. And Jerry Rice still lives in the SF area, so I'm sure Crabtree will be strongly encouraged to contact him and workout with him in the offseason. That will help him a lot. Rice even kept Terrell Owens in check.

He has Isaac Bruce, one of the best receivers ever, to learn from. The guy is going to be a stud. I really hope he gets traded because I am not looking forward to him torching the Rams twice a year. Even without a good QB he's gonna put up Pro Bowl numbers. I say he gets at least 70 catches, 1100 yards, and 10 TD's this year.

Oh, and what the fuck are the Raiders thinking taking Heyward-Bey? Awful pick IMO...but that's what makes them the Raiders.

Bruce is a great receiver for sure, but he is nowhere near Jerry Rice, and since this is the 49ers he will definitely look to Jerry Rice first. Bruce will help him plenty as well, especially during the games since Rice won't be there. But calling Isaac Bruce "one of the best receivers ever" is a little bit of an overstatement IMO.

Um, he has 15,000 career receiving yards, over 1000 catches, and after this year he'll have 100 TD's. I have no clue how that doesn't rank him as one of the all time greats???

Same reason that I don't rank Brett Favre as one of the best QB's ever(meaning roughly top 10 I would say). Because the big numbers aren't everything. Bruce has always been a good, consistent receiver. But most of his years in SL he wasn't even the best receiver on his team.

And 1000 catches is still great, but I think there are going to be a lot of guys over the next several years that pass that mark. I remember when it was just Jerry Rice that had 1000, and now there are like 5 right?

Add Crabs to that list someday. :aww:
I hope to :D

I know it sucks seeing a badass college guy go somewhere that sucks. Another guy we should both be worried about is Aaron Curry. He is a damn good LB and he went to the fucking Shehawks

But the draft might be ruined for me if Pat White goes to the Steelers. I might actually cry if that happens

Yeah, Pens FTW. I thought they were fucked after giving up those 2 quick goals at first...but in typical Pens fashion, they fought back and won.

Back to the draft, Josh Freeman = terrible. I dunno when teams are going to realize that these big 6'5, 250 pound QB's who have no actual quarterback skills (Campbell, Culpepper, Russell) don't work in the NFL. Great athletes, yeah, great quarterbacks, not a chance.

Freeman is easily the smartest of those QBs you mentioned, but I agree. I still can't believe that anyone drafted JaMarcus Russell first. I know it was the Raiders but still. Come on. The guy is a retard. There is a no chance he will pan out. Freeman won't either, but that will mostly be the fault of the coaching. They will just assume that since he has a bunch of physical skills they can throw him in as a rookie. If they actually wait 2 or maybe 3 years before giving him serious playing time he may actually work out. But everyone knows that won't happen.

Heyward-Bey was a terrible pick even if Oakland had a good QB. The fact that they have Russell makes the pick ten times worse. They'll be watching Crabs across the bay tear shit up while Russell and Heyward-Bey do jack shit. Poor Raiders.

Yeah. Heyward-Bey could be a good receiver pretty quickly in the right situation. But Oakland is the farthest thing from the right situation. I feel for him and McFadden.

The Giants and Titans just made some very good picks. And I'm thinking the Cardinals will pick up Wells, which sucks since they are in the NFC West

daneyhobag should be excited that they got a good receiver to replace the felon Burress.

I was kind of hoping Britt would not get picked and the Rams could get him at 35. No idea who they're gonna take at that pick.

WR is one of their needs. Britt will probably do well in Tennessee.
