I've been on a "clean+effects" kick lately: Minus the Bear/Russian Circles/Maserati

This Will Destroy You did that to me during all of '08.

Funny...been listening to them steady for a few weeks. I didn't list them because i doubted anyone would know them :D

They hung out at my parents' house while I worked on their amps.

:inlove:

Timmons, bonnamassa, and me..haha..searching for my signature sound..and i think ive found it:)
but really the first two have what im looking for.

Vivian Cambell from the first Riverdogs CD.

Great songs, Rob Lamothe is a killer vocalist.

I seem to try to play Whitesnake riffs right now, so probably Doug Aldrich. I can`t turn up very loud, and the cab is stashed in the closet, so I use a Mesa 1x12" combo. I`m not right there, yet :D

My usual suspects, as usual:

Guitar: John, Paul and George - Revolver and earlier
Bass: McCartney (mid-70s and earlier), Chris Squire early 70's
Keyboards: Keith Emerson; Rick Wright; Keith Emerson; Keith Emerson, Rick Wright.

Also these days, I've really been getting into The Faces (Rod Stewart, Ron Wood, Ronnie Lane, Ian Maclagan, Kenney Jones). some good live footage on youtube, and rumors of a reunion tour this year, which are false.

I'm old; I like what I like, and that's all that I like.

I've been using a program someone recommended, I think it's called Transcriber. You can set a section to loop and do 25%, 50%, or regular speed. Works REALLY well, I've figured out half of the tune "Resolution" minus all the crazy parts, I probably need a weekend to tackle the rest of the song since I kind of suck at this. :D But if I can do it, anyone else can

EDIT: oops its called Transcribe, heres a link.

Very cool! Thanks man!!

Lots of Timmons and Kotzen, lately. Using my Strat alot more the past couple of weeks.

I'm happy with mine everytime I plug in. As long as it's not plugging into a Boogie. :D

Believe it or not...the newest Tool record, 10000 Days. I really dig that tone. Been trying to dial in something similar w/ my Mark IV, but it just doesn't work. :(

yeah, Rob Lamothe and that CD rule!

Lately I am on an Yngwie from the Alcatrazz "Live Sentence" CD tone kick. It has enough lows to it, enough gain to it and just this killer clarity that you can only get with stock output type single coil pickups. I thought the HS-3 Dimarzios Yngwie used were high output, but 70strathead taught me otherwise. Anyway, yeah Yngwie's old tone, and Plankton too with their perfect strat tones.

What has happened to me??????? I am a humbucker guy through and through

Cause it would be too good you wouldn't be able to handle it. :D

Kind of a Dokken kick lately,

Billy White and John Norum - Up from the Ashes
George Lynch - Back for the Attack

Believe it or not, that tone is a 5150 + a rackmount POD

Oh I believe it, probably the sole reason why I've owned a 5150 and PODs
