Yes I saw that..
It’s always been strange to me they would use those. I guess they have a reason, but it just makes it less legit in my eyes. How would they do with real weapons? I don’t know, I guess the fundamentals of shooting still apply but with no recoil. You and I both know that mitigating recoil is a big piece of the puzzle out in the wild. Just seems they have homogenized the whole process with special glasses and in the rifle rounds with jackets that help you establish a consistent shooting position, when out in the wild we consider those skills to be developed without those items. I guess it could be argued that we might use things in place of the jackets to firm up our shooting position like rear bags for precision shooting out a long distance’s.

I agree. I don't think Olympic shooting has any correlation to actual shooting.

They used to use 308's in rifle competition, biatholon I think, but the fags running the olympics aren't pro gun and wussified everything. I'm actually surprised they have any shooting sports at all. Bunch pellet guns and a .22. Yuck. Sports suck and are for fat losers with body odor. I hate sports.

I’m with ya on that. Professional sports can suck it. I’m glad I played them growing up though. Done right I think kids can learn a lot of good habits from them

It was a different time. It seems dimwitted and irresponsible to put my kid into contact sports knowing that CTE is pretty much unavoidable with something like football.
