Why do forum members think that saying "ghey" or "gaey" magically shields them from being called bigots?

-a narrow-minded person who obstinately adheres to their own opinions and prejudices*

-especially : one who strongly and unfairly dislikes or feels hatred toward others based on their group membership



*Prejudice: an irrational attitude of hostility directed against an individual, a group, a race, or their supposed characteristics.



-So if someone had rational reasoning for their actions - the actions would not fall under prejudice.

-If the actions do not fall under prejudice - then the person would not be a bigot.

It's a created thing within the media but it's effective. Look at all the heavy metal fans lamenting Dolly Parton's passing for example. I can't say I ever listened to her music, but I haven't worked 9 to 5 in years either so maybe I'm biased. I kind of reverted back to hating country music again unless your name is Eddie Rabbitt or John Anderson. Maybe I'll lose my Texas passport for that.

I can name good country songs on one hand. And I am from Texas. I remember as a child listening to achy breaky heart and being amazed that people around me were enjoying it
