Why do you have so many guitars?

I am down to 7 and looking to whittle that down to 4. I have the first 3 that I am keeping and the 4th spot is still up in the air. Only keepers are going to be staying around. Gear hasn't been moving around here all that much so the 4th spot is on hold until I sell at least 2 guitars.

I have 5 Les Paul’s and one Super Strat.

I’m looking to get a 7 string and another SS which would put me at 7 guitars.

Who do I have so many? Because many of them are worth a lot of coin and I would rather keep them and eventually hand them down as heirlooms. They also all play different and sound different.

I haven't counted them lately but I think I have 25 to 30 guitars. Most are Fender's and Gibson's. I have different pickups in most of them. I cycle through them eventually. I have more amps than guitars. I usually buy a new guitar every year. My wife will even ask me, "What guitar are you buying this year?" I was just building a guitar on Fender's Mod Shop site. Maybe it will be this year's guitar.

Can you adopt me brother?
