Evap coils are no problem! I just want some strings so I can start swapping out some pickups lol.Change my A Coil.. LOL
Who doesn’t keep at least a dozen sets of strings on hand ?Evap coils are no problem! I just want some strings so I can start swapping out some pickups lol.
Normally I would be saying the same thing, I have boxes full of 6 strings. But this is my first 7 string strandberg and I really like their balanced sets (I just got the guitar a couple weeks ago) and it shipped with some shit old strings.Who doesn’t keep at least a dozen sets of strings on hand ?
Have you considered buying individual gauges for your new axe? You can get a lot of sets real cheap if you need custom gauges from juststrings.com. No affiliation but I have ordered a lot of stuff from them over the years. The generics they have are great strings.Normally I would be saying the same thing, I have boxes full of 6 strings. I wasn’t anticipating a 2 week turnaround
i've thought about the individual gauge route, but it's normally an easy transaction to just buy strings. I bought all kinds of sets when I had a standberg 8 string with no issues. I actually have a few sets left over that I forgot to pack with the guitar, but those sizes really don't feel great on their 7 string models (multi scale necks make things more complicated than they need to be)Have you considered buying individual gauges for your new axe? Said the same thing to my youngest as he saw me pull the candy bag out of the box. That's what Sweetwater candy is. All of the candies that none of the children want...anywhere. Its like the Land of the Misfit Candies.

I love them man. There is certainly an adjustment period with the neck, especially if you are a “hang your thumb over the neck” dude like myself, but once you get used to it, it will make your other guitars feel primative. How do these strandbergs play and feel?
That's exactly the way McRocklin describes them. They seem perfect for us guys who sit and play in front of a computer. I'm going to have to try one.I love them man. The way the neck fills your hand without feeling chunky is really cool.
Aside from that, the light weight and balance makes it feel like it’s not even there. It “gets out of your way and lets you play” as the saying goes. I’m sure it’s not for everyone but I do think everyone owes it to themselves to give one a try.
I couldn’t handle the 8. Maybe someday when the kiddos are older and I have more time to practice I’ll take a crack at it again, but for now it was more frustrating than fun. What happened to your purple eight string?
