As a gigging musician I need the loop. I don’t have time to mess with WDW at a gig. Especially with a multiple band lineup. I do like that you can completely remove the loop on the Wizards. Not to mention the effect on resale value. I probably wouldn’t care so much if I didn’t love delay for leads so much.

Thanks to all for listening and commenting! Great to hear my ears appreciate similar sounding crunchy goodness as yours! I was "this" close to not even keeping that recorded audio, kept changing mic positions 6 times before almost giving up lol Glad I kept it and shared!

Just recently picked up a second Duncan 805 and tried double boosting the MCII...WOW have I been missing out. Just takes it to a super saturated level with some nice compression while maintaining all the dynamics and articulation I love about this amp. Thrash fucking heaven with amazing give under the fingers. It of course leans it out even more than just a single boost, but the extra aggression, attack, and saturation offset the leaned out low end...or I just turn on the ISP powered sub and it's thicker, tighter, more saturated, more aggressive than I ever knew an MCII could be.

Sounds crazy lol, I only have a OCD v2 like in my vid here obviously, that I use volume at 50 to 65% and zero drive, tone knob at 2 o'clock-ish. Never tried other overdrive / boosts to see how it sounds. I am considering getting a spring reverb pedal and experimenting with maybe a Friedman Pearl overdrive OR that Wizard leopard boost flavor. Not sure, there are so many options it is impossible to decide.

I'm not much of a pedal guy but my recently acquired MCii seems to love the EQD Plumes. Nice push and saturation without changing the character much.
