Does anyone know if it will come with a cocaine and cupcake dispenser?

Put me on the waiting list if it does.

Actually, hold the cupcakes...

Marshall could CORNER the amp market by getting a few amps modded by Cameron, Friedman, Fortin, Suhr, Voodoo; copying their mods and put out a killer production amp or amps. Could you imagine Marshall putting out a Jose' inspired 100 watt head that sounded like Fortin/Friedman/Cameron? They would clean up. Marshall is too stupid to listen to the consumers.

Ditto...

Lets hope this new Marshall doesnt sould like most of the shit Marshall makes now. :aww: I would only own a DSL or VM. To me, everything else Marshall makes is shit and for beginners.

Only if they put the effort into "tunning" each amp like the above mentioned Geniuses do, not some stab in the dark, rolling off the assembly line type of production run.

Differn't strokes for differn't folks...I think the VM is the worst sounding Marshall that I've ever played, and I didn't care for the DSl (or TSL). Marshall's reissues have all sounded pretty good to me, and Ilove my 1959RR...it sounds better than any of my old 100 watters.

That said, if they could nail some of the modded tones like you mention, I agree that they would have a winner. Some will argeue that they did that with the JVM, but I don't hear it personally.

Under thing I can think of is cost?

Makes no sense though, they have to see all the vids and forums regarding modded marshalls.

most of these modded Marshalls don't really sound like Marshalls anymore.

We have this conversation all the time and I wonder if that would be the case. I think about just a few short years ago before I was exposed to all of this tone stuff and I loved my DSL50 and didn't know any better. I played the shit out of it and was happy as a clam, and also ignorent of great tones. Are most of the consumers like I was? I suspect the answer is yes, I think we are the big time minority in the big scheme of things. When I play a DSL now I want to puke.

The market for the Hendrix signature amp would be bigger I'm guessing, with collectors and non-players shelling out for their trophy rooms.

Who are they targeting and at what price point will be interesting to see. Aging neo-classical shredders and young rich kids who wish they grew up in the 80's if the price is on the high end? Just guessing, lol.

cool, I hope it sounds awesome and is cheap!

When was the last time Fender or Marshall made any signature product that was cheap? Fender, Marshall, Gibson....they can all suck it. :D

I'm with Dave, they should stop all the sig crap and take a serious look at the Cameron-Fortin-Friedman-FJA circuits, build that and add the clean channel from the JVM, the reverb from the JVM, and the midi switching from the JVM, and add the power scaling of the Eggie. I dont think they could make them fast enough.

haha, I know I'm dreaming, but until I see it on paper, I can wish :D

The only question is will the amp be a MV type with gain in it? If not, its a 1987X with his name on it.

It would not surprise me if the power tubes were switched to KT's. He was using a Marshall Major during the last tour in some of the larger venues. It also wouldnt shock me if it had an additonal gain stage in preamp. who knows, im sure its gonna be off the charts expensive.
