5)Compass of the heart Chris Polands ohm

Rush -Red Barchetta, Xanadu (my favorite Rush track actually)
Queensryche - Eyes of a Stranger
Metallica - Fade to Black (both solos)
Ozzy - No More Tears (one of the best non-virtuoso solos ever, IMO)

many of u guys trash him here but kirk's older lead work with metallica was incredibly melodic, just makes u remember every note and u can sing along with it. ALso like scotty moore's work with elvis , chuck berry, and mike ness' stuff with social distortion. Pink Floyd has many melodic solos that u remember every note also.

Pantera Hollow
Skid Row Darkened Room, Quick Sand Jesus

Cause We've Ended As Lovers-Jeff Beck...the whole song is one big melodic feast
most of Elliott Easton's solos with The Cars
Kiss On My List- H&O
most all Thin Lizzy solos
a lot of Dimebag's solos are really melodic
and as far as shredders... Yngwie, Sykes, Moore, Schenker all deliver both chops and melody in one bag

Great list. Throw Uli in there and and I'm sold.
